Multiplayer mode allows for play against other people, via the internet, instead of playing against computer-controlled characters as is done in the single-player custom game mode. Warcraft III's single-player campaign is laid out, similarly to that of StarCraft, being told through all four of the game's races in a progressive manner. Warcraft III contains four playable races: Humans and Orcs, which had previously appeared in Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, and the Night Elves and Undead, which are new to the Warcraft mythos. An expansion pack, The Frozen Throne, was released on J(US). It is the second sequel to Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, and it is the third game set in the Warcraft Universe.

fans were clearly inspired by the Warcraft 3 post credits scene that remade the War2 intro sequence and decided to take things further by adding the full War2 campaigns into War3! They’ve even enhanced the missions to utilize Warcraft 2 era heroes (purists can play without too) so if you’ve always wanted to play as Orgrim Doomhammer, Grom Hellscream, & Gul’dan for the Orcs or Anduin Lothar, Khadgar, & Uther Lightbringer for the humans at the height of their powers then now’s your chance! Warcraft 3 players who felt annoyed by the lack of naval in the main game and the small tease of it in the addon will love this as War2 had tones of naval and it’s all here in the War3 engine!Ĭlick to follow this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email. And sure enough it does, as while Blizzard sadly still haven’t remade War2 themselves, the fans have delivered again!įirstly If you just want the original game and all it’s goodness in HD then yes, thankfully fans have made an HD patch for it that supports modern widescreen resolutions which you can get here! 🙂īut what if you’re after a full 3D remake?
