The trailer released on May 24th shows an introduction with Kraven the Hunter and a group of hunters as they choose Manhattan as their next hunting ground. Six months prior to the events of the game, Kraven explored different hunting targets, before deciding that he could find many in Manhattan, seeing Black Cat, Kingpin, Prowler, Shocker, Wraith, Tombstone and Taskmaster.
Kraven the Hunter is a major villain in the game. Miles has access to new gadgets, including a gadget that can create a web to tightrope across, and a mine that can pull at least three enemies toward it at once, taking out multiple enemies at a time. Additionally, both of their suits now have "Web Wings", which allow them to glide through the city. The ability to propel forward by using webs as a slingshot allows Peter and Miles to travel faster through the city.
